MÏTTA Sound and Light has a long history in the Disc Jockey and sound reinforcement business. We come from a combination of two unique backgrounds, sound production and DJ entertainment. DJ RAB has been spinning records for over 15 years and has traveled all over the country participating in many DJ contests. He has spun at colleges, clubs, and concerts for many different people and organizations while on his travels. DJ RAB's primary concern was to make the crowd dance and do turntable tricks, so he contracted out sound to many different sound companies. He was amazed by the sound quality and professionalism of "Rock Town Productions", which at the time was run by Rodney "Hot Rod" Frasier and Jamal "MAN" Palmer. Rock Town has been in business since 1987 and has a vast client list. Their primary focus was to provide sound to the Philly tri-state area, but business was starting to expand to other states and customers kept asking - "Can you find us a DJ?".

DJ RAB and the partners from Rock Town decided to combine their talents and become MÏTTA Sound and Light. With this combination MÏTTA knew they finally had the contacts within and outside the DJ and sound reinforcement business. The last piece of the puzzle was to have someone who could concentrate on the day to day business operations and not worry about all the technical stuff. The rest of the staff decided that the person best for the job was MARTITA. She not only brought a strong business aspect, but she gave the company a strong presence in the Latin community. Eventhough the name of the company is new the background, knowledge, and reputation goes back for over 15 years. MÏTTA then took the next step to team up with the best DJ crew in Philly, the Skratch Makaniks. DJ Excel and RAB had a long friendship and realized that the best thing to do was to team up for sound and DJ purposes.
